Enduro is a product line for footwear and apparel for Men's Ice Climbing Winter 2027. Driven by the brand, consumer, and sport, of Black Diamond, we want to solve ice climbers' issues by turning sweat into heat. After doing some research about sweat maps and heat maps, we designed the placements of where we could turn the sweat and where heat is most needed. The footwear line, Enduro Ascender, consists of the bootie and outer shell, where they work as a system.
Innovation Because sweating in cold weather is agony for ice climbers, we want to solve our user’s problem by turning sweat into heat. Our innovation will be around the material of the product.
First, the sweat is absorbed, and then it will turn into energy with a layer with piezoelectric properties that could turn pressure into energy as well, another perforated layer will evaporate the sweat, and the heat will be distributed using this technology called LOOMIA.

Detail The Footwear line, Enduro Ascender, consists of two products: the bootie and the outer shell.
Outer shell: The toe box will be made out of neoprene combined with piezoelectric material. The whole upper is recycled nylon for waterproof properties. The lining is padded Gore-Tex for breathability. The outsole is Vibram for grip.
Bootie: The whole upper is waterproof/ breathable knitted material. The bottom part will have a film to connect the boot and bootie as a system.
