Description
EquiMonitor is designed to increase equine health and user peace-of-mind during the trailering process for high-level rodeo contestants. The design fills a gap in the equine-care market; no horse-trailer-specific environment monitors were found in investigation. The rechargeable detection unit is mounted on a rail that is screwed to the horse-trailer structure. Via Bluetooth, information including temperature, humidity, and carbon monoxide levels is transmitted to an app on the user's phone, allowing the user to monitor the trailer environment and be alerted when the conditions are unsafe.

Innovation
EquiMonitor fills a gap in the equine-care market; no horse-trailer-specific environment monitors were found in investigation. EquiMonitor allows the user to monitor the trailer environment, alerts the user when conditions are potentially risky or unsafe for the horse, and effectively installs in the “stall” area of the horse trailer.
