Description The "Lightful DownWool Jacket" is the world's first jacket with DownWool® insulation, an innovative blend of wool and down. It is lightweight and versatile, and thanks to its advantageous quilting, it performs well in the mountains for ski tourers, snowshoe hikers, and mountaineers, on rocks, or as a lightweight winter jacket in the city. It can also be worn as an insulating mid-layer under a waterproof functional jacket.

Innovation The new innovative and protected lightweight insulation DownWool® sets new standards. Down is one of the best and lightest insulation materials available. Unfortunately, down is sensitive to moisture and you often overheat very quickly with down.
DownWool® is different. Wool is shot into the down and bonds with it. The wool absorbs moisture from the down and naturally makes it less sensitive to moisture. But wool can do even more: it can influence the climate in the jacket. Wool naturally wants to regulate your body temperature to a comfortable level. This allows us to achieve a much larger area in which you can feel comfortable in the jacket without freezing or overheating. DownWool® is light and small in pack size and is a sustainable, renewable raw material. You will love the climate you feel when wearing the jacket, after just a minute you will notice how the jacket begins to improve the climate.
It is also important to use the right amount of wool. In many tests we have found that too much wool leads to a cooler climate and too little wool leads to a climate that is too warm. Only with the right amount of wool does the climate in the jacket remain pleasantly constant.
Product Detail •The light and elaborately crafted hybrid jacket has a new, innovative and protected DownWool® insulation on the upper body, upper arms and back. Lavalan® AlmWool is used in areas where you sweat more (e.g. forearms, lower back and hood).
•Outer and inner fabric: Ultralight, robust, and recycled 20 Denier 380T nylon (100% polyamide), which feels incredibly soft, supple, and silky against the skin. This is achieved by pulling the fabric over hot rollers to narrow the pores, making the fabric downproof, mothproof, and naturally breathable without the usual plastic coating. The pores are not clogged by the biobased BeSoDRY-ECO impregnation or sustainable BEMACRON dyes. As a result, the outer material is windproof and highly water-repellent, keeping snow and light drizzle at bay. Shoulder pads and forearms are made of an extra robust fabric.
•Filling 1: approx. 70g DownWool® made of 70% high-quality duck down (90/10 with a fill power of at least 650 cuin) and 30% mechanically refined wool; Filling 2: lavalan® AlmWool made of 85% virgin wool, 15% cornstarch (PLA) Ingeo™ - fill weight 60g/m²

The "Lightful DownWool Jacket" is multifunctional, lightweight, storable, highly robust, and equipped with many technical features:
• Three outer pockets, one inner pocket, and a mobile phone pocket with an elastic band provide plenty of storage space.
• The jacket has a removable, adjustable, helmet-compatible hood, as well as an adjustable hem with hidden drawcords in the outer pockets.
• The YKK zipper has an underlaid cover and can be opened and closed from both ends, inside and outside, with an auto-lock.
