Description
Being inspired by nature and biomimicry I aimed to create new and innovative improvements in the sector of basketball shoes. With technologies inspired by dragonflies, butterflies, and geckos, Flyte makes use of modern technology combined with natural systems to achieve breakthroughs in footwear.

Innovation
The design of the upper uses dragonfly wing patterns to allow varying structural diversity allowing for control of rigidity and flexibility

The gyroid infill of the midsole allows for a 3d printable structure that has good compression and force absorption qualities

Gecko inspired outsole uses technology of microscopic wedges to mimic gecko setae to increase van der Waals forces and improve traction
