Description A spring/summer fitness apparel collection that focuses on Kata ‘form’ and pays homage to Yasuke and the Japanese empire - a conversation in history between Africa and Japan. The first recorded ‘samurai’ of foreign birth in history to take precedence on foreign soil; this collection embarks on a journey to encompass South Sudanese culture (the alleged birthplace of Yasuke) and its tense relationship with Japan, working as a cornerstone of strength and
resilience.
Each piece in this collection emphasises key detail including Sudanese Dinka beaded corsets with a central division that emphasis maturity and fertility married with and adaptation of traditional components of a gusoku suit of armour including elaborate details at the shoulders and jacket to each sports jacket.

Product Detail Jacket and bottoms to all designs (menswear and womenswear) comprise spacer tech mesh fabric panels/vents to aid ventilation and heat loss. Finishing details include ribbed hemlines and cuffs alongside pockets detailed with contrast piping.
Deconstructable vest/jacket layer for adaptability to changes in ambient temperature/workouts (i.e. jacket detachable from inner vest layer with minimal effort using velcro patches).
Stretch fabric to leggings gives ease for freedom of movement.
