Joerg Rohwer-Kahlmann

VOR / Industrial Designer I Co Founder

Joerg Rohwer-Kahlmann is an industrial designer from Munich, Germany, with 23 years of experience in product and footwear design.

With a proven track record in the industry, he has made a name for himself in the international footwear scene, leading the PUMA Motorsports category for more than 7 years.

Joerg has successfully launched numerous products on the market, ranging from million-sellers for Puma to some designs that are now even regarded as modern classics.
The foundation of his work is a profound understanding of the development and production processes and the functional requirements of contemporary products, combined with a keen sense of timeless, well-balanced lines and proportions. Rooted in pop culture and street style, he has a distinctive sense of Zeitgeist and lifestyle trends combined with a strong interest in innovation and futuristic processes.

In 2010, Joerg and Andreas Klingseisen founded VOR, a progressive German design brand that focuses on the essence and purity of contemporary footwear – through clean lines and without excessive decoration.

Having known each other since their teenage years, the duo’s deep-rooted friendship fuels their creative partnership. They share a lifelong passion for subculture, which they seamlessly blend with elements of classic and modern design in their work. This unique fusion allows VOR to stand out in the fashion landscape, appealing to those who appreciate both aesthetics and functionality.

As they continue to innovate, Andreas and Joerg remain dedicated to their original mission: to challenge conventional footwear design while staying true to their artistic roots.
