Jon Davis is a Senior Product Developer for Mountain Hardwear, with 15 years of experience developing technical outdoor and lifestyle products for brands including The North Face and Timbuk2. With expertise in packs, Jon has spent the lion’s share of his career managing and driving the development of messenger bags, lifestyle, hiking, climbing, and skiing packs, with a couple of those styles – Snomad and Powabunga – earning Outside Magazine Gear of the Year awards.
A seasoned professional in bringing innovative products to market, his development work has extended to other outdoor categories, including tents, sleeping bags, gloves, and support work on product design and materials. Born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, Jon’s outdoor interest inspired him to earn a BAIA in Product Design and Development from the San Francisco State University. He resides in Sonoma Valley with his wife, two sons, and two Australian Shepherds. When he’s not determining the best zipper pull for a ski pack, he can be found running trails, strapping on skis, or sipping a hazy IPA.
