Mathieu Boimare
Independent consultant / Former Salomon Global Product Creation Director for apparel and gear
Mathieu Boimare describes himself as a design evangelist with 20+ years of experience turning creative chaos into meaningful designs. He studied design at EnsAD, better known as “Arts-déco de Paris” and business at HEC Paris.
Mathieu spent 10 years designing cars for General Motors in Detroit and Frankfurt, and won several international design awards. After leaving the automotive industry, Mathieu became the Creative Director of Inesis, Decathlon’s golf brand, and served on the boards of Kalenji and Fouganza. He then joined Salomon as Global Product Creation Director for Apparel and Gear, blending his business acumen with his creative thinking.
Today, Mathieu is a consultant in design and innovation strategy implementation, connecting people and organizations with creative design methodology. When Mathieu isn’t working, he enjoys spending time running Tellus Faber with his family, a ceramic design workshop based in Annecy that he co-founded with his spouse.
Mathieu believes that a successful design is the result of a genuine human connection and is always looking for new ways to disrupt the status quo. As Bill Bernbach once said, “The most powerful element in advertising (or design) is the truth.”
